MORE ABOUT BROOKE

sneaks, sneakers, tennis shoes

From the beginning…

I was raised in Seattle, WA and played many sports growing up. The day came for me to decide on which one to focus. I chose hockey, which led me to Boston where I played for the nationally ranked Division I Northeastern University women’s ice hockey team. I received numerous awards during my hockey career, including the Patty Kazmaier Award, which is presented to the best women’s collegiate hockey player in the nation. I was also a member of the US Women’s National Team and ended my career playing professionally for the Brampton, ON and Vancouver, BC NWHL teams.

After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, I decided on a career path in athletic administration and coaching. I completed my master’s degree in sports management at the University of Connecticut, while also serving as the graduate assistant coach with the school’s Division I women’s ice hockey team. Later, I became an assistant coach for  the Boston College women’s ice hockey team. At the college level, I recruited many high school players and realized the need to help parents and players navigate the challenges of selecting their best school and program. For this reason. I accepted the Associate Athletic Director and Girls’ Varsity Hockey Coach position at Lawrence Academy, a prep high school outside of Boston. While our hockey team consistently reached playoffs and was ranked as one of the top programs in the country, my proudest achievement was helping more than 15 players in three years land roster spots at top Division I and Division III programs.

In addition to my coaching and athletic administration roles, I coached at local, regional, and national hockey camps, clinics, and tournaments for several years. I also worked as a USA Hockey regional evaluator and national camp coach, with many players who were selected for future USA Hockey and Team Canada Player Development Camps, USA Hockey National Team Camps, and USA Hockey U-18, U-22 and Women's National Teams.

Although I enjoyed my time as an athletic administrator and coach, I was ready for my next challenge. I joined One Mind as the Director of Marketing and Communications. Our mission was to remove the barriers keeping the medical field from finding better diagnostics, treatments and cures for brain diseases and injuries.

From there, I landed a great opportunity to work for another innovative company, called VICIS. As the Marketing Manager, I wore many hats, including the responsibility of product and project manager. It was an exciting time to be part of the company, as we prepared for the launch of its first products, the ZERO1 and the ZERO1 YOUTH football helmets.

I was a Project Manager for multiple companies at which I worked with a variety of top sports brands on everything from print ads to e-commerce projects.

The many hats I’ve worn in my professional life were rooted in my early childhood passion for hockey and sports. The desire I developed for living and promoting a healthy lifestyle stems from years focused on training, nutrition, and performance as an elite athlete. 3sneaks is the culmination of integrating my many passions and experiences to share with others.
